Suburban offers league play, tournaments, season-long match-play, and nine-hole golf and dinner events. In addition, we are constantly adding new and engaging ways to test your skills and, more importantly, have fun.

The Men’s 18 Hole Tournament Group enjoys a variety of individual, team, and match play tournaments. Play is on weekends and players earn golf shop credit and player of the year points when they place. In 2022 we plan to have:

Fatter Thursday League

Fatter Thursdays is a great opportunity to be on a team with your golf buddies enjoying friendly 9 hole team competition on selected Thursday evenings throughout the summer followed by dinner, drinks, laughs, and bragging.

Teams consist of 5-8 guys of which only 4 play on any given Thursday
Play 8-10 Tuesdays, May-October
Shotgun start at 5:15
9 hole, 2-player teams, match play, 1 point per hole, better ball, 90% of handicap, play off low ball
Handicapped and competitive for all levels of play
Cash prizes (4 teams, 26 players won money last year!!!)

Interclub

Suburban is part of The Maryland Private Golf Club Conference (MPGCC) a nonprofit interclub association dedicated to the spirit of competitive golf in the Four-Ball Match Play format. Conference Members strive to promote and preserve the integrity of the game by adhering strictly to the USGA Rules of Golf and the USGA Handicap System. Suburban is proud to be part of The Royal St. Georges Division!
